new blush bunch from benefit cosmetics | worth the money?

If there is something I love more than makeup and skincare, it would definitely be miniature sized items (you know the ones that sucker you in before the cash registers? Yeah, those!). You can sell me anything that has a fun-sized option. Take the Benefit Cosmetics The Blush Bunch as an example; this is an adorable travel-friendly set of blushers and bronzers that caught my eye because of how cute these little compacts looked. They come in their own individual compact which gives you the flexibility to mix and match if you plan to travel light and only want to bring a couple shades. I initially saw this online and was devastated when they sold out. Luckily, one of the stores near me had a couple left in stock so I was able to take a set home with me!

What the set includes:
1 x Gold Rush Warm Golden-Nectar Blush (0.05 oz) *Newest shade
1 x Galifornia Sunny Golden-Pink Blush (0.05 oz)
1 x Rockateur Rose-Gold Blush (0.05 oz)
1 x Dandelion Brightening Baby-Pink Blush (0.08 oz)
1 x Hoola Matte Bronzer (0.09 oz)
1 x Hoola Lite Light Matte Bronzer (0.09 oz)

First Impressions:
These are tiny! I knew they were small from the start and was okay with this because I like that I have the option to mix and match when travelling. Let’s face it, I have enough full-sized blushes to last me a lifetime, I’m hoping I’ll be able to finally say “I hit pan” on one of these blushes (although the Hourglass mood exposure full-size is coming close)!
I didn’t find it difficult to dip my brush into the compact and the blushes/bronzers feel and swatch the same as they would with the full-size. I think having the flat, compact containers made it easier to pull product. As pretty as the shades are, they definitely need to be built up/layered to get the product payout you would with one sweep of other blushes from different brands.

One nice thing is that Benefit has included their newest shade, Gold Rush in this set so you’ll get to sample this before going all in on the full-size product. GoldRush is a lovely pretty golden peach and was the first shade I tried from this set. Galifornia and the Hoola Matte are classics and Rockateur is another shade that has attracted my attention with it’s lovely rose-gold colour. Unfortunately, Dandelion and Hoola Lite are too light for my complexion, so I’ll be giving them away but Dandelion is a lovely baby pink that would look stunning on lighter complexions.

Is it worth it?
If you haven’t tried out Benefit blushes or bronzers and don’t know if you’ll like them, then this is a great starter set. Or, if you’re an avid traveller and want something compact and easy to throw into your travel bag, then you’ll love this set as well! However, if you want the best bang for your buck then this set is not for you.

  1. This a great little set and I like that they have included their latest release in it. I know they're tiny but how often do we hit pan on blushes?! xx

    1. Such a nice set! Yeah, so sad they're too light but I have a home for the two shades and she'll love them! :)

  3. This is such a good set for people who want to try a little bit of everything from Benefit. Plus they are so adorable. My favorite shade is California, perfect for the spring and summer. I think I can even use it on the eyes.

  4. This set is perfect to try out all of the benefit blushes. What puts me off more about their blushes is the clunky packaging - while pretty they would be quite difficult to store nicely.

    1. Completely agree - their packaging is cute but too clunky! I had having to dip my brush and have limited movement to pick up the product! Although small, super happy this set has a flat compact!

  5. What a brilliant discover set! I must admit Benefit is a brand that doesn't interest me at all due to packaging. I feel like I'm not their targeted customer.

    1. It's a great little set! Ah, that's fair, I like how cute their packaging is but it's less luxe and more on the "cutesy" side. Will admit their packaging can be a bit clunky, not this set though!

  6. These are so cute! I own a couple of the Benefit blushers and i do like them, but just don't seem to use blusher often. Therefore, this size would be perfect for me! x
